What Information is Recorded?

For each publication curated we carefully review the manuscript and record the following details:

  1. Sample preparation procedures and glycan release techniques and/or methods, which can alter the glycan structure including exoglycosidase treatment and derivatization
  2. The analytical (mass, sequencing and linkage) approach
  3. Complementary validation methods (‘Validation Methods’ subsection)

Such metadata can be used to assess the reliability and accuracy of the information stored.

Additional, information about the biological content i.e. species, tissue and glycoprotein(s) reported are grouped into dropdown lists in the ‘Biological Associations’ subsection, and all structures are summarised in the left-panel linked to the structure summary page.
